We started Wagg & Purr to deliver inspired pet gifts, treats and food sourced from as many boutique New Zealand suppliers as we could find. So we have tracked down New Zealand's most passionate pet-product makers — and put them all in a box. Cherry treats from Oamaru, bone broth from Christchurch, catnip wine from Auckland, and handmade fluffy catnip balls from Orotere, Northland to name just a few.

Every Wagg & Purr box is a small love letter to New Zealand's incredible artisan producers of pet delights and occasionally, a brilliant find from further afield.

The cherry farm whose dog started the whole idea. The possum treat guy who's controlling the hooligan possum population in a tasty way. The broth brewing legends making a meal topper (food) that's genuinely good for your pet.

If any item becomes unavailable, we replace it with a product of equal or greater value that fits the box's theme. We never compromise on quality.

Bille, Chief Treat Tester

Chief Taste Tester in Training — sniffing is doing the trick for now! Box Inspector. Unofficial Head of Quality Control at Wagg & Purr HQ.

Bille is a Birman kitten and has strong opinions about what goes into our cat boxes. (Spoiler: she approves of everything. Eventually. After approximately 45 minutes of sniffing.)

We think every great NZ pet brand needs a feline consultant. Bille applied for the role uninvited and is striving to grow into being chief taste tester — sniffing is doing the trick at the moment though! 🐾 A note for new pet parents: our boxes are designed for adult cats and dogs. They're not suitable for kittens or puppies, whose tummies are still finding their feet.
